Stanford University
The Ford Dorsey Program in International Policy Studies (IPS) is a multidisciplinary Masters program dedicated to the study and analysis of the international system.
Its goal is to provide students with in-depth exposure to a range of issues that they will face in the 21st century, and to develop a foundation of skills and knowledge to address those issues.
IPS allows students to focus on the international economic system, developing and transition societies, security issues, or the world environment.
- For their Practicum research, two IPS students visited a refugee camp in Ethiopia on a project involving UNHCR, the International Rescue Committee, and Stanford's CISAC and d.school.
- IPS students traveled to Rwanda to meet with President Paul Kagame, the Ministries of Health and Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, entrepreneurs, and NGOs on the Global Study Trip.
- The new Stanford-Vienna Academic Exchange Program will begin next Autumn Quarter.
